Job Category: Information Technology
PL/SQL and SQR stored procedures & migration of data. Monitoring and Analyzing database performance, usage patterns and performance tuning. Evaluation of database tools, documenting schema, standards for use, control, maintenance and updates of database. Provide rationale for decisions to technical team, balancing concerns of stakeholders, driving down technical risks and ensuring decisions are effectively communicated. Ensure standards and best practices used in database development are followed and maintained. Review existing data architecture and make recommendations for enhancements and/or improvements.
In order to be considered for employment, the qualified candidate must meet the following criteria:
• Oracle v 9.x or higher (strong)
• Unix (intermediate)
• SQL & SQR development skills (strong)
• Oracle PL/SQL skills (strong)
• JAVA (intermediate) - For the java-based reporting solution we are developing.
It would be considered a plus if the candidate has experience with:
• Unix Shell Scripting
• Perl (scripting language we used to render xml file to excel spreadsheets - 1st generation of reporting tool)
• MS .Net developer skills (for ESS customization)
